Hi,

I have a question regarding H1B registration. This year has been the highest number of master's quota applications. Out 0f 275000, almost 40 % were in masters which is 110000. It has never been these many masters quotas. Last time out 2 or 3 masters petitions, one applicant would be picked. But this time, out of 5.5 applicants only 1 will be picked in the lottery as the registration process is easy.

Previously, only serious applicants had to file H1b as they had to pay $4000. But now anybody could register for $10. I am not sure, just curious. Because it is just $10, is there a possibility even trolls could have registered to affect the results?

There is a possibility that after the 90 day period and based on submissions, USCIS may reopen a second lot as they clearly state that many cases will be under consideration until the end of fiscal year, which is September 30, 2020. Please read this Article for more information.
