The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced an 18-month extension for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Sudan, effective April 20, 2025, to October 19, 2026.
This extension benefits 1,900 Sudanese nationals in the U.S. who meet TPS requirements.

Re-registration Period: January 17, 2025 – March 18, 2025
Employment Authorization Validity Extended: Automatically valid through April 19, 2026, for eligible EAD holders
