Hey everyone! Welcome back to the Immigration and Jobs Talk Show! In today’s video, we have a crucial update for Salvadorans with Temporary Protected Status (TPS). The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced an extension for TPS, allowing Salvadorans to stay and work in the U.S. for an extra 18 months, from March 10, 2025, to September 9, 2026.
This extension is a result of environmental damage in El Salvador, including severe storms and past earthquakes. We’ll explain how this decision impacts around 232,000 Salvadorans in the U.S., and why it’s important to re-register to maintain TPS status.
If you or someone you know has TPS, make sure to re-register on time to avoid losing your work permit. We’ll also cover the eligibility process, the automatic extension of Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), and more!
Tune in for all the details, and don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share this video with others who might need this info.
