How the 90-day rule works for AOS: Can my derivative travel on B1/B2 and Adjust the Status?

Does the 90-day rule apply to the derivatives? If my employer is filing for EB-3, can my husband(as my derivate) enter the U.S. on B1/B2 right before we file for I-485 for our AOS?
