How long is the H1B transfer process, if I switch H1B Sponsoring Employer?

My company is going to apply for an H1B extension as it’s 6 months of expiry from now. But I am thinking of switching a company now. I Have a job interview scheduled, and If I get that job, will the H1B transfer also take this long? I heard people who filed an extension on April 22 are still not getting approved.
